Sparkles Skate Night

Sola Fide has an upcoming event that puts the FUN in fundraiser! It’s TONIGHT (or tomorrow night if you read this right away). We’re having a skate night at Sparkles Family Fun Center (1104 Grayson HWY, 30045), just east of the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Sparkles will give back a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Sola Fide. There’s a cool indoor playground, laser tag, and of course, plenty of skating. Make plans to join us on the evening of Thursday, November 17th!

Thanksgiving Break

There is no school or childcare during Sola Fide’s Thanksgiving Break. This year, that break runs from November 21-25. Sola Fide has a Thanksgiving Eve worship service on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.

Intro to Archery

Third Graders and any other new students who are older than third grade are welcome to attend an Introduction to Archery event immediately after school on Monday, November 28. (This is the first school day after Thanksgiving break, so it’s an easy one to miss if you’re not careful.) We’ll have a low student-coach ratio day to help kids get the basics and see if archery is a sport they’d like to try. The event will run from 3:45 to 5:00 pm.

STEM Night #1

On December 1st at 6:30pm, we’re going to host our first ever STEM night!

We have an engineering challenge for teams of two to five students to complete. Depending on the interest and the involvement of different students, we may try to group students into different age-based teams.

Parents can also form teams, but we want parents and teachers to do as little coaching as possible. Our goal is to have kids be problem solvers.

Christmas Giving Challenge

On Christmas, God took on flesh for you and me. His perfect love and perfect plan became tangible. His gift of mercy and grace was wrapped in flesh. It’s the reason we give gifts at Christmas. We celebrate the birth of our Savior by mirroring God’s gift giving.

Once again this Christmas, we want to show love to our neighbors in a tangible way. Rather than do classroom gift exchanges and the like, we want to team up to try and raise $2000 for a community in need of support. The faculty will be choosing a humanitarian cause, and will encourage students and families to make donations to reach that $2000 goal.

It’s a great opportunity to talk about two really important truths. The first is that because God loved us, we are capable of loving those around us. The second is that there are many people near and far who are in need of our love.

Let’s joyfully engage in this project and see what we can do when we work together to share God’s love.

GASSO - Deadline coming soon

GASSO is a tax credit and scholarship program that can super-charge your tax dollars to support the mission and future of Sola Fide. You could be eligible to donate up to $5000 to Sola Fide and receive EVERY SINGLE PENNY back in a future tax refund. In order to participate in the funding side of the program, you need to register with GASSO before December 31, 2022.

If you’d like to know more about this program and how it works, Mr. Schmiege would be happy to take as much time as you need to help you understand how this program can open doors for the future of Sola Fide.
