Jeremiah Schmiege

School PRINCIPAL

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER

Jeremiah has been the principal at Sola Fide Academy since 2009. Before serving here, he was an English teacher and missionary in East Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Martin Luther College and a Master of Arts in Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College.

In his spare time, you can find him hiking on the Appalachian Trail or other trails in North Georgia. He also loves woodworking.

One of Jeremiah's favorite Sola Fide memories was the "Alice in Wonderland" musical that the eighth grade class wrote for the school's 2016 spring musical.

Jeremiah loves how Sola Fide enables him to get to know students and families on a personal basis. For him, it doubles the joy of sharing the love of  Jesus.

In 1997, Dianna and her husband adopted 6 siblings from the Philippines who are now young adults living across the country. They are grandparents to 15 wonderful grandchildren. Kathleen Van Orman

Lower Elementary

Kathleen came to Sola Fide in August of 2012. In her time here, she has taught a variety of combinations of students ranging from kindergarten through fourth grade. Currently she teaches first and second grade.

In her spare time, you can find Kathleen exploring new shops, old town squares, and especially antique stores.

Kathleen loves helping plan the variety of different events that happen at Sola Fide's church and school. One of her favorites was the Grand Opening celebration for our new school building .

She loves the fact that Sola Fide feels like a big family. Some of her favorite times are the moments after school when students and parents want to stay for a bit on the playground and keep enjoying the company of their classmates and teachers even after the school day is over.

Shellie Quintana - CDA

Shellie Quintana

4K Preschool and Kindergarten

Ms. Shellie is an awesome presence who creates an enriching environment for our 4 and 5 year old students.

Ms. Shellie has been part of Sola Fide since 2000 and joined the faculty in 2018. Ms. Shellie may be a midwesterner by birth, but her 23 years in Atlanta make her proud to call the South home.  Ms. Shellie grew up in a Lutheran school setting from Kindergarten through her Senior year of high school. This gift of Christian education in her life is what gives her the joy to share Jesus in the same capacity today. When not in her classroom, Ms. Shellie can be found outdoors with her family or cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
