Christmas Program

Christmas at Sola Fide Academy is our annual sacred Christmas Program. The students are working hard to learn some Scripture passages and some new and some ancient Christmas songs. They’ll be sharing the Christmas story in Word and song on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15 at 6:30 pm. This is an event in which we expect ALL students to participate, so please mark your calendars!

Christmas Giving Challenge

One of our school dads is taking a humanitarian trip to the west African nation of Togo this January. He is going with the Togo Network. The Togo Network is an economic development and aid group. They work on projects to connect communities to clean water and reliable electricity. They also provide support to clinics, schools, and orphanages. (Learn more here: togonetwork.org)

We want to share God’s love this Christmas by helping fund infrastructure development and humanitarian causes in Togo. As a school we want to try and raise $2000 to assist in this work. That donation is enough to fund one year of operations in a village medical clinic! We can do this!

Please consider giving to this project. It’s a great opportunity to talk with your kids about two really important truths. The first is that because God loved us, we are capable of loving those around us. The second is that there are many people near and far who are in need of our love.

You can send cash or a check to school, or you can give online at solafide.com/give Let’s joyfully engage in this project and see what we can do when we work together to share God’s love.

Regional Youth Ski Trip

Some of the Lutheran Churches in the South Atlantic part of our country are collaborating on a youth ski trip in Gatlinburg, TN on February 3-5, 2023. It is open to kids who are 11 years old or older. The trip cost is $215.

We are asking the families of all eligible students to fill out the RSVP form found here: https://forms.gle/webo3vw4PLeiDUtX6

The final registration deadline for the trip is two weeks away - December 15th.

Christmas Caroling at Sunrise

The oldest five classrooms (not 3K) will be walking over to Sunrise Assisted Living next week to do a little Christmas caroling. If you have an open lunch hour on Friday, December 9th, you are welcome to join us as we spread a little Christmas cheer to our neighbors just down the hill.

GASSO - Deadline coming soon

GASSO is a tax credit and scholarship program that can super-charge your tax dollars to support the mission and future of Sola Fide. You could be eligible to donate up to $5000 to Sola Fide and receive EVERY SINGLE PENNY back in a future tax refund. In order to participate in the funding side of the program, you need to register with GASSO before December 31, 2022.

If you’d like to know more about this program and how it works, Mr. Schmiege would be happy to take as much time as you need to help you understand how this program can open doors for the future of Sola Fide.
