Last Call for Hurricane Relief - Asheville, NC
We have a pretty nice donation gathered to send to Asheville. We’ll be totaling up numbers and sending money their way soon. The last call for donations is THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24th. If donations come in later, we’ll make sure they get there, it will just go in a later disbursement. Here’s the previous summary:
We have made contact with Pastor Kurbis at Living Savior Lutheran Church in Asheville. He and his congregation have identified a few very specific needs where our donations could make a 100% immediate impact. Bruster’s Night
Bruster’s Night is making its return THIS FRIDAY! Join us for some ice cream and fellowship at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Grayson on Friday, October 25th from 4pm to 7pm. Bruster’s will be donating a portion of that evening’s sales back to Sola Fide!
Nacho Ordinary Fall Festival
On Sunday, October 27th, Sola Fide is inviting all students to sing in worship, and then join us for Sola Fide’s Fall Festival. The fest starts right after the 10:30 worship service. Bring your favorite nacho topping and a friend. Enjoy food, fellowship, fun, and games. Mark your calendar!! (Don’t eat your friend, just eat the nachos.)
Family Fun Night
Sola Fide’s Student Council is hosting their FIRST EVER EVENT! It will take place on November 1st, starting at 3:45 and going to around 8:30. It will feature Stay and Play immediately after school, a fundraiser cookout, and a movie. Visit solafide.com/funnight for an RSVP/food order form. We’re excited to support our newest student-led endeavor!
Homework Help/Practice Help
Beginning on Wednesday, October 23 from 3:30-4:15, a new homework session and/or music practice time will be available for students between grade 3 and grade 9. Mrs. Kober will take those interested to have some quiet work time or music practice time in the sanctuary building. During this time, Mrs. Kober will be available to answer questions and/or text teachers for clarification on assignments. This will be held every Wednesday until Thanksgiving Break. (October 23, October 30, November 6, November 13, November 20) The cost is $35 total for the five sessions that will be paid through TADS. No refunds will be made available for missed sessions. Please arrive to pick up your child at 4:05 because no grace time will be given after 4:15. Students without a ride at school at 4:15 will go to aftercare. If you would like your child to have a five minute snack after school, please send the snack along with them.
